Carolan Gehret: English Education Graduate Assistant
I am definitely working my way backwards in life. I owned and operated a luncheonette in Reading for 17 years until the very strong urge to return to school hit me. I went back full time in 2008 and graduated in 2011 with a bachelors in Secondary Education with a concentration in English. I have been substitute teaching for the last two years in addition to being a logistics coordinator at a company that I worked for all through school. I started going to graduate school last fall and decided that I needed to make a change and concentrate on my masters full time. I am single but spend a lot of time with my sister and her four children. They keep me very busy and entertained. In my spare time I like to read and enjoy activities with my family. I love school and work so I am very excited to be on board with Jump Start Incubator.
